Arianna and Her Beloved

This lady once was kidnapped in Morocco and sold into sex slavery. She managed to escape, but not before her captors broke her fingers, twisting them so as to be incapable of the subtle movements necessary to play the instrument. That's why I've depicted her simply sitting beside it, smiling ironically.
