I was drawing another of my medieval cartoons when I realized that I was thinking about COVID-19, so I went with that idea. Here we see the plague in six stages: 1) The virtuous and the vile are likewise smitten; 2) Lunacy, fear and false virtue reign among men; 3) Vain remedies are proffered by the learned but imprudent; 4) The thorny weed of judgment beareth bitter fruit; 5) Babes and the aged are nursed with the milk of despair; 6) Unto dust the dust of man returneth.
